Job Summary
Oversee the complete operation of the terminal and rig-moving activities, manage team, serves as a leader to their team, develop future leaders and ensure Best in Class customer service to support business growth.
Understand legislative requirements. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the terminal
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the dispatch and other aspect of the terminal
- Monitor divisions or department’s performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
- Recruit personnel and oversee their training
- Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Protects workers and customers by providing a safe and clean work environment. This includes but is not limited to ensuring equipment, facilities and yards are maintained to company standards.
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the branch by complying with legal requirements.
- Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. This includes but not limited to Bills of Lading, drivers time sheets and Hours of Service.
- Responsible for reporting to head office and gives them updates on business status.
- Conducts performance evaluations on their team.
- Assist in conducting incident and accident investigations.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the energy or transportation sector.
- Must have a minimum 5 years of rig-moving experience.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, permitting processes, and oilfield logistics.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects and shifting priorities.
