Welder - Bonnyville, AB
Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment repairs while supporting safe shop and field maintenance operations.
B&R Eckel’s is a Canadian transportation company with terminals in Bonnyville, Lloydminster, and Nisku. Since 1965, our experienced team has delivered dependable service for a wide range of transportation needs.
We value our employees and provide the tools, training, and workplace support they need to succeed. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Welder or registered third-year Apprentice Welder to join our Bonnyville team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain company-owned and owner-operator trucks and trailers.
- Perform fabrication and welding repairs on equipment and components.
- Complete work orders accurately and within established timelines.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with operations and shop personnel.
- Assist in identifying and scheduling repairs for out-of-service equipment.
- Order materials and parts required for repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform work in both shop and field environments as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident reporting processes.
- Support a respectful and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Registered third-year Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder.
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
