Welder - Bonnyville, AB

Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment repairs while supporting safe shop and field maintenance operations.

B&R Eckel’s is a Canadian transportation company with terminals in Bonnyville, Lloydminster, and Nisku. Since 1965, our experienced team has delivered dependable service for a wide range of transportation needs.

We value our employees and provide the tools, training, and workplace support they need to succeed. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Welder or registered third-year Apprentice Welder to join our Bonnyville team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain company-owned and owner-operator trucks and trailers.
  • Perform fabrication and welding repairs on equipment and components.
  • Complete work orders accurately and within established timelines.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with operations and shop personnel.
  • Assist in identifying and scheduling repairs for out-of-service equipment.
  • Order materials and parts required for repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform work in both shop and field environments as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and incident reporting processes.
  • Support a respectful and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

  • Registered third-year Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
