FTL Truck Driver - Nisku, AB
Class 1 full truckload freight work with inspections, logs, dispatch, and securement.
B&R Eckel’s is seeking a Class 1 FTL Truck Driver to join the Nisku location.
This role supports safe, reliable transportation service with a team that values practical training, strong communication, and a workplace culture built around employee safety and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of assigned units in accordance with NSC requirements.
- Keep accurate logs of trips and daily activities.
- Ensure compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
- Ensure proper journey management.
- Maintain proper load times and support best-in-class customer service.
- Keep units clean.
- Advise maintenance staff of required vehicle repairs.
- Maintain contact with terminal to receive instructions or dispatch details.
- Keep records of material and product being transported.
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks when required.
- Secure loads in accordance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Class 1 driver’s licence with clean abstract required.
- Must be familiar with manual transmission.
- Minimum two years of Class 1 driving experience hauling flat deck freight.
- Experience with over-dimensional loads is an asset.
