Bed Truck Operator - Lloydminster, AB
Move rig buildings, derricks, matting, and oilfield equipment safely and efficiently.
B&R Eckel’s is seeking a Bed Truck Operator to support oilfield transport work from the Lloydminster area.
This role supports safe, reliable transportation service with a team that values practical training, strong communication, and a workplace culture built around employee safety and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Move rig buildings, derricks, matting, and other miscellaneous oilfield equipment.
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
- Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and dangerous goods procedures.
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers using communication devices.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Weekend work, on-call work, and overtime may be required.
- Travel and/or camp work may be required.
Qualifications
- Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean abstract required.
- Map reading / LSD knowledge.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, time management, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work with little supervision in a professional manner.
- Good depth perception and manual dexterity.
